EUROpean MOBility for the commercial EXchange

Project:

EUROpean MOBility for the commercial EXchange

2012-1-IT1-LEO02-02518

Programme:

Lifelong Learning – Leonardo da Vinci Mobility

Objective:

WHO The overall goal is to train 69 young graduates in specific University degree programs  in international commerce through work experience in EU countries for a period of 21 weeks.
In order to enhance the training systems at post -secondary non-academic level (EQF 5), it will possible to admit to the project up to a maximum of 10  ITS (Istruzione Tecnica Speriore) or IFTS (Istruzione Formazione Tecnica Superiore) graduates in technical sales.
NEEDS The last report of the Northeast Foundation shows clearly how the relocation does not depend only on the search for lower production costs but has consciously transformed into a sort of "invisible internationalization " that enables the circulation of knowledge and the creation of value. The inner logic governing this internationalization is the capacity of strategic screening and control of new markets. The most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises follow this virtuous path. The internationalized company is more efficient, employs qualified staff and invests in innovative research and development using information technology and communication, is partly financed by means other than pure bank credit.
These are all important factors that define the critical thresholds for access to international markets. They collide with a shortage of adequately prepared human resources which is particularly felt by SMEs (ref. Sector Group). Many entrepreneurs of SMEs, particularly in the North East, in fact, have a mainly technical background and they need to rely on staff experts in foreign trade to support this important transition to the internationalization of the product.
AIMS Professionals in foreign trade collect all kinds of information from foreign markets and channel them to the information system to facilitate decision making, seek and indentify opportunities to purchase goods and services abroad, prepare, execute and monitor the follow-up of import export operations. Their efficiency is related to competences in the field of communication technology, knowledge of several foreign languages and intercultural openness. The experience of an internship in the commercial sector of a foreign company will enable beneficiaries to develop or improve such non-formal skills. The project stems from the need to overcome a purely technical vision of the technical sales assistant on the belief that the foreign trade professionals need a broader culture. For this reason CPV has participated in RECOMFOR, one of the 11 European pilot projects funded by EACEA  under the LdV, to contribute to the implementation of the ECVET Recommendation. RECOMFOR primary objective is the establishment of a European network of training centers and enterprises (NETINVET) in order to promote mobility of students in the field of international trade and developing at the same time, regulatory and technical conditions for the recognition of the learning outcomes achieved after the return from the mobility period. The network NETINVET refers, specifically, to a professional profile the "international trade assistant" developed in the previous LdV pilot project "COM.INTER" (EQF level 5). At present comprises about 40 training centers and more than 150 companies from 10 countries of the EU.

WHERE The linguistic and cultural preparation of the beneficiaries and their internships will take place in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany and Spain.
